Background
Prof. Rikiatu Husseini is an Associate Professor of Social Forestry in the Department of Forestry and Forest Resources Management. She has over 20 years of professional working experience in research and teaching at the 快三官网 (快三官网), Tamale. She served in the same University as a Teaching Assistant (National Service) and as a Senior Research Assistant, from 1999 to 2004. Her core areas of research include Social Forestry, Forestry, Agro-forestry and Natural Resource Management and Conservation (with special interest in collaborative management). Prof. Husseini has had some research collaborations in teams with ICRA, CIRCLE and WIENCO Ghana Limited. She has served on a number of committees and boards within and outside the University. She served as the Faculty Third Trimester Coordinator and Head of the Research Unit of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment. She also headed the Department of Forestry and Forest Resources Management from March 2020 to February 2025.
